...what's happening on Instagram?
Perception is everything. I was just running out Perception is everything.

I was just running out to get a slice of pizza—nothing special.  I drove by the Walmart distribution center—CERTAINLY nothing special (sorry, Walmart). Something in my gut said, “pull over and check things out.” I thought, “What?  That’s  a ridiculous and silly idea” and kept driving by.

The trees and grass, freshly covered in snow and ice from a storm the night before continued to twinkle in my peripheral vision. "Oh hell" I thought to myself. “Ok! I’ll go back!” So I made a u-turn and drove back 2+ miles to when I first felt the urge to pull over, which happened to be just outside of the Walmart Distribution Center.

This (and many more) is the image that I caught.

Always trust your gut.  Always listen to that voice inside. Always execute those ridiculous and silly ideas, and if you don’t—turn the hell around as soon as you realize you didn’t!

The pizza will still be there when you are done.

American Sailing Association Level 104 achievemen American Sailing Association Level 104 achievement unlocked! It was a fantastic (but quick) 3-day trip from Long Beach, CA to Catalina Island and back.  Adding another 55 nautical miles to the logbook!  Who wants to go sailing this summer!? I am now certified enough to be capable of bringing you back alive and still on the boat—woo hoo!
Another great weekend crewing in the Cruising Race Another great weekend crewing in the Cruising Race for Arizona Yacht Club Leukemia Cup Regatta.  The wind may be a little shifty, but the sunsets at Lake Pleasant never disappoint!
Out of the water, they can achieve nothing, but in Out of the water, they can achieve nothing, but in the water a jellyfish is nothing short of magical. *Only about 5% of the body of a jellyfish is solid matter; the rest is water!! So my life lesson metaphor gathered from our gelatinous friends: Figure out what makes you YOU, then surround and immerse yourself in it fully 100% and never stop swimming.
Oh and try (eat) everything that floats by...and sting a fool reeeeeal good if he mistreats you.

This is that unbeatable view looking aft, back into the sea toward California... The sailing vessel to the right is motoring out of the harbor and that tall ship you see center-left is too big for the mooring field and is on 'er hook. That is, she is at anchor ;)
